Effective date: June 11, 2026
Your data never leaves your device. FlexChallenge stores everything — your challenges, tasks, photos, videos, voice notes, and step data — locally on your iPhone or iPad. There are no accounts, no servers, no cloud sync, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. We can't see your data, and we never will.
The rest of this policy explains exactly what that means.
None. FlexChallenge does not transmit any personal data to us or to anyone else.
FlexChallenge keeps the following information locally on your device, using Apple's SwiftData storage:
This data stays on your device. It is included in your device's encrypted backups (iCloud or computer backups) according to your own iOS backup settings — that's between you and Apple, and we have no access to it.
If you create a step-based task, FlexChallenge will ask your permission to read your step count from Apple Health.
Here is our explicit commitment regarding HealthKit data:
With your permission, FlexChallenge may also use your device's built-in pedometer (Apple's Core Motion framework) to count steps. Like HealthKit data, this is processed entirely on your device, used only for step-based task tracking, and never transmitted anywhere.
FlexChallenge asks for camera, microphone, or photo library access only when you use a feature that needs it:
Everything you capture is stored locally in the app. You can optionally save media to your own Photo Library or export it to the Files app — both are entirely your choice and put the data wherever you decide. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by us.
FlexChallenge can send you local reminders — like task reminders and day-end reminders. These are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system. There are no push notification servers and no remote messaging.
The FlexChallenge home screen widget displays your challenge progress. To do this, the app and widget share data through an Apple "App Group" container — a private storage area on your device that only FlexChallenge and its widget can access. This sharing happens entirely on-device.
You can create a backup of your data at any time. Backups are JSON files generated on your device that you choose where to save — Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, wherever you like. We never receive a copy. Restoring is the same in reverse: you pick a backup file and import it. Both actions only happen when you initiate them.
You are in full control:
Because we hold no copies of your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. (Backup files you exported yourself remain wherever you saved them, under your control.)
FlexChallenge is not directed at children under 13. That said, because the app collects no data from anyone, no personal information is ever collected from children — or from anyone else.
If we ever change how FlexChallenge handles data — for example, if a future feature involves any data leaving your device — we will update this policy and update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be clearly communicated in the app or in App Store release notes before they take effect.
